These are small groups of houses that have survived throughout time and have kept country traditions typical of the municipality. Los Batanes, Las Carboneras, Chinamada, El Río, Bejía or Cabeza de Toro stand in this protected area of Parque Rural de Anaga. Walkers who decide to follow any of its many footpaths will go by them.

The Chinamada hamlet keeps some of the so-called ‘cave housing’ in fairly good conditions. These are still inhabited and have an unquestionable ethnographic interest.
