In August, Tejina holds its festival to honour its patron saint, San Bartolomé. This festival was recognised as Cultural Heritage and Tourist Asset in 2003.

The crucial moment is the parade of the Corazones, which are structures made up by two hearts attached to a pole and covered with beech tree branches with fruits stuck  in the middle and on the edges. Flat bread especially baked some days before with flour and water are also part of the decoration and depict different religious or farming scenes…

The people in charge of making these structures are the residents of the three main streets in the village, El Pico, Calle Arriba and Calle Abajo. The hearts are carried on shoulders to the church square, where the Saint welcomes them.
