San Cristóbal de La Laguna has historically been the starting point of Tenerife. Since its foundation at the end of the 15th century as the political, religious and administrative capital of the island, it has been the starting point for all the island’s historical routes. The location of its historic centre, next to the main transhumance routes that predate the conquest, on a plain surrounded by mountains, makes it the starting point and meeting place for the traditional routes of the north and south of the island. From La Laguna, a city declared a World Heritage Site, we invite you to explore the rest of the municipality by bike in a sustainable way, discovering its exceptional historical heritage, its natural wealth (declared a Biosphere Reserve), its villages and coastline, and other places of interest on the island of Tenerife.
