SMART SIGNPOSTING OF THE CRUZ DEL CARMEN-LAS CARBONERAS-CHINAMADA-PUNTA DEL HIDALGO ROUTE
An application to discover the Anaga footpaths featuring 15 smart signposts covering the 10.6-kilometre route than runs from La Cruz del Carmen to La Punta del Hidalgo, for two officially approved footpaths: PR-TF 10 Y PR-TF 10.1.
The project gives the route a fundamental added value, that is, an application that helps getting to know the surroundings and resources of the area, which will no doubt help to make progress towards a sustainable development of tourism. It is a pilot experience that points to a future with no printed information, so there is no need for leaflets.
In addition to basic information, the APP includes data on environmental awareness and taking care of the area. In line with this philosophy, the wood used for the signposts come from re-planted trees with the applicable tracking stamp and guarantee.
