In this regard, the San Crist\u00f3bal Market in La Laguna has always been known for being a lively, colourful place and, above all, for its orderliness and cleanliness, in keeping with its popular style.<\/p>\n

The market was traditionally located in the Plaza del Adelantado, in the heart of the historic centre, until 2007, when cracks appeared in the pavement and walls of some stalls as a result of adjacent construction work.<\/p>\n

Since 11 December of the same year, it has been housed under a large rectangular marquee in the popular Plaza del Cristo, a temporary location until the permanent building is completed on its original site. The Market or \u2018Recova\u2019 <\/strong>has almost a hundred stalls selling fruit and vegetables, meat, fish, animal feed and grain, cheese, sweets, clothing, footwear, soft drinks, pastries, flowers and plants. <\/p>\n

To facilitate parking for users, in addition to the underground car park in the square itself, La Laguna City Council has a neighbouring site located on Calle Pintor Jos\u00e9 Aguiar.<\/p>\n

Although the traditional touch of the old market is missing, there is an air of \u2018tradition\u2019 that blends with modern and functional facilities.<\/p>\n
